Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Thanks.
Maybe less.
Remenber 20 or 30 minutes of warmup period.
So one loop takes you 1 hour and few minutes.

To put the actuals to the words, here's an extract from the msg log.

There was only 19 minutes between elapsed and cpu time, pretty good efficiency on 13.5 hours run time. The times of the cycles aka loops are not entirely equal, the last few taking a bit more. Pity there's no checkpoint just before the first main loop begins. Shortens the forced retention in memory by an hour for those that are on cram and multi project switching... that default is still 60 minutes.

Now if that wingman could match the claim, it is really Happy Days are Here Again :P

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

I had to change my cache up to almost 2.5 days on all my machines to get a nice amount of these (plus a whole lot of HCC). Hope there isn't anymore betas or other stuff for a day or two so I can clear out my cache.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

I was just staring at my upcoming task list, wondering how HPF2 had gone all the way from np to ts when it clicked ... I got my first DDT2 task! Yay. smile

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

One of my slower notebooks got task ts05_d091_ps0000. The scheduler knew of course that completion could take some time and therefore set the deadline to 07.08.2010, i.e. 15 (!) days. Of course this device is reliable (cache setting 0.01%), but wouldn't it be better not to send a WU of that size at all than to pump up the deadline to 15 days?
Poor wingman - he already completed his task and now has to wait some days/weeks... ;-)

My slow desktop got 1 WU with a 12 day deadline and 77 hr estimate. It finished in less than 24 CPU hrs with at least 4 reboots and a long power outage due to bad weather here. So the estimates seem to be quite generous at least from what I've seen. Maybe your WU will finish fast like mine did. biggrin

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

I finished 22 of them. All ran between 11 & 13 hours on i920's & Q6600's. They seem to run fine in Windows world.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Most of mine were 12 or 13 hrs. But I don't think my machines are suited for this project. 1/2 of the results got decent points (+ or - 5% of what I asked for), but the other half are way, way off (up to 40% less then what I asked for).

Edit *** I forgot to mention for HCC I usually get + or - 5% for everything. other projects it is usually -5% but a lot of -10% and some -20%

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

I finally got some work. According to the times listed on the advanced view, one is for 71 hours and the other for 103 hours. From what I read, these WUs must be to generate a bunch of shorter ones (I have very little experience with processing DDDT2).

The work units I have are
ts05_f040_ps0000 and
ts05_e077_ps0000

ts05_f040 shows a user is in PV status and all others are in progress.
