Re: The end of the Nutritious Rice for the World Project

I really enjoyed the project.

My wife, who is Korean, says that if she doesn't have rice with her meal, then she feels like she hasn't eaten. We keep 50 pounds of rice in a rice dispenser, and she always has cooked rice warming in the rice cooker.

BTW, I would like to nominate NRW for best WCG graphics.

I'm glad I was able to donate 5 years to this project.

applause Re: The end of the Nutritious Rice for the World Project

Great project! I was very happy to crunch this project throughout its life here on WCG.

As someone, who has traveled extensivily throughout Asia over the years. I have seen the amount of good our present rice does and it just boggles the mind to think of the impact of a super rice strain.

If in the future if something is developed. Please, dont forget to put the seeds in the seed bank up in the north pole.

Oh? This one's finished?! Well, that's good news indeed! :) It's one of the projects I've started with :) (before we grew into multicore CPU's)
I enjoy that we finally managed to get this done. :) Hope you'll get "instant positive results" from our search! :D That'd be really nice! ;)

It's been my pleasure to donate 5 years to this project. I hope to see a new project from your organization in the future.

...and I was so close to getting the two year badge. :-(
It's OK though, I'm just glad to be able to donate that much time. :-)

Re: The end of the Nutritious Rice for the World Project

I *only* did about 50 days of work on NRW. Though if 1,000's of people just did 50 days worth of work like myself that would still add to a massive amount of work completed. Happy to have helped biggrin
