Wow.. that was a surprise.. didn't see that coming, well, now is late for the next badge.. good luck for everyone! I hope that you get your target, maybe the gold level on HFCC. If you are close to reach it, I would suggest don't give up yet once I saw many projects lasting some days/weeks more than announced end of work (including with some additional WU's distributed after the end of work date target... the intermitents projects CEP1 and IADS1 are good examples). Of course that it's a question that need be evaluated by yiou based on yours machines capacities to produced results by day, until the real end. Good luck for you. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Has anyone taken an educated guesstimate about when the project might be done. I think I will need about 16 days more work ending around the 20th of May to finish my Sapphire 2 year badge.

knock yourself out based on these little data points:
----------------------------------------April 30 - result 2020174 validated May 5 - result 2274407 validated highest result number about 2857000 12-14 days of constant supply at present average. From there it takes 2 weeks or longer to get all caches flushed and repair jobs completed. Still end of May, early June to get s2 complete.

Do you have any means to increase your number of cores? As Sekerob pointed out, we have an increased run rate, about 50,000 units per day. Doing the math based on 50,000 per day, you end up running out of the regular WU supply around May 17. So you can fill your buffers, find another computer, or simply hope for the repair jobs or a slowdown of the project (maybe if the extreme guys end their challenge?). Regards, Martin ![]() |

(maybe if the extreme guys end their challenge?). Are you referring to our internal challenge over at at XtremeSystems? We are not targeting any specific project. |

So maybe if I add a day buffer to a couple computers that will do it? Fingers crossed big time!!! |

I'm pretty sure there will still be WU's from this project till at least the 24th May.

I'm pretty sure there will still be WU's from this project till at least the 24th May. Ah, yes, of course. But there is a difference between "there will be WUs" and the end of the regular distribution of WUs: It looks like the regular supply will end around or before May 20. After that, there will always be inconclusive results, errors, no replies, for about 2 weeks. You can try to get some of them, by setting HFCC as your only project and micromanaging the server requests. However, if you have filled your buffers to 10 days, you will not receive any of the "makeup" work, bacause that will be sent to reliable short-term returning machines. With 10 days buffers your machine will not be considered a fast returner. Regards, Martin ![]() |
