I would suggest trying the supported version for WCG and see how your system runs with it.. the science apps on all projects in use are all 32 bit based.. as well as the version of BOINC it has no issues working with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.. just as few hiccups with this project but they are not production impacting at the moment.. thinking of it that may be the 64 - 32 bit mashing with your BOINC version.. give it a try.. it should stablize for you..

FYI, before the change in HPF2 science applications I had a computer that experienced approximately a 50% 0x1 error rate. After processing 109 HPF2 updated WU's all but two (2) have been validated or in pending validation status. The two WU's had the following error:
Result Name: nj464_ 00060_ 10-- and Result Name: ni695_ 00101_ 4-- <core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> Incorrect function. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1) </message> <stderr_txt> ERROR:: Exit at: .\nblist.cc line:711 </stderr_txt> ]]> The computer in question is a i7 2.66, 4gig ram, hyper-threading enabled. The other computers running HPF2 have not reported any errors. These computers run various WU's from other projects without incident. IMHO, this is a major improvement and the WCG techs did a good job. Congratulations! |
