Well,
----------------------------------------only specific challenge starts the 15th with Malaria. Until then I'm all in for HCMD2 boosting to 5 years (I'll split time between the 2 then). I REALLY have to get this computer together soon... Oh and Ivy Bridge is supposed to be 37% more powerful than Sandy bridge!!! If your looking to upgrade, Hang on til April 8th!!! (estimated release date of IB) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Feliz Cumpleanos and Prospero Año Nuevo God Jul & Godt Nytt År (ok had to look up the last half of that one  Hope we're covered sorry if I missed anyone!  |

Ah the weekend approaches,
----------------------------------------Ok, so was wondering what your goals are for the year (Crunching wise specifically but any goals are fine too!) I had 20 million points last year and wanted to double, made it to 42 million points. This year I want to try to do it again. Well last fall added an I7 2600K, this is pushing me up to like 80,000 PPD. To make 115,000 PPD (what i need to make 42 million points this year) I need to a) finish my new computer this weekend b) upgrade it to a ivy bridge in April. c) (possibly) upgrade a dif machine to ivy bridge... or to a workstation type machine. (my old alienware could handle a large mobo with multi socket CPUs). d) lazy man's way use one GPU for massive points assuming they start a GPU project. |
