Now kicks an idea in: Average CPU time per G/TFLOP... already computing TFL per CPU year, so that would not be too difficult to derive. --//-- I guess what you're proposing is just the inversion of GFLOPS. Suppose one does 24 GFLOPS, that's 24 GFLOP in every second. The time it took for 1 GFLOP is 1/24th second = 0,042 seconds. That would be 42 seconds per TFLOP. It's a cool new way to look at things, but it's realy only 1/GFLOPS, or am I overlooking something? (could well be, since the Netherlands is also struck by a numbing heat today  , the human body compansating by letting the poor braincells run at reduced speed (but still higher fault rate)) |

My current signature indicates that in total run time, I rank #170 but in the U.S., I rank #184 which does not seem possible. In the other two measurements, I rank better in the U.S. than I do in the World which makes sense to me. Again, Thank You! |

you're 99 per yesterday for those registered to the US, on runtime. See http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewCo...&numRecordsPerPage=50. The other 2 check with what WCG shows. Odd indeed, given that mine on all 3 counts check fine. --//-- |

Your rank is mixed up with another person who's name starts with RT... I solved it yesterday, but now also the webhost server that I'm on is taken offline for maintenance (35 hours and counting...). I'm -still- waiting for my webhost to put the server back online.  As soon as they do, I can set your signature straight (and update the others too of course). |
