Hi!
----------------------------------------I'm using the BOINC client to download the first, large file for the Computing for Clean Water project. I can receive files faster than 30 Mbit/sek but the client won't hardly use any of my bandwidth. My question is why my project downloads so slowly? mro1229, the download for clean water (c4cw) is pretty fast (1 second) since it is just a number to activate the work unit. Are you downloading the one time download? Even so it shouldn't be 5 hrs. If you are having a problem try cancelling the download and try again. I hear there are a several bad WUs floating around due to last weeks crash.

----------------------------------------Appear that your download have an issue. I don't know what, but you will spend few seconds to download any C4CW work unit, and seconds to upload too. Until now it was the behavior in my machines. Would be useful to evaluate the problem if you can provide more info about this specific WU mentioned in your post. Maybe a copy and paste of your BOINC client log of events from tasks tab and from messages tab (in the specicifc part were this WU appear being downloaded until the end of process and the starting crunch of this WU...), could help elucidated what happenned. In your WCG MY PAGE click on your results status, select the field to view in progress WU's and search for this specific one, so pick up all information about this specific WU (result log, etc) and post this info here please. Maybe the WCG tech team or CA's could help you with some advise. Have a nice crunch on WCG !

I am enclosing pictures of logs and ongoing downloads. I myself can't find anything suspicious. My profile is set to Maximum Output, but I had the same problem with the default profile. I hope someone will find something!

Just my guess here, but it can more look like you're mis-interpreting, and your thinks 5 hours is the download-time. According to the task-info this isn't the case, it's instead 5 hours run-time your computer needs to use to calculate the neccessary info to produce a result. If this is fast or slow for your type of cpu I can't answer, but around 5 hours seems to be more or less as expected for C4CW-work...  "I make so many mistakes.
