Excepted a degradation of host performance (around 20%), I did not experience any significant problems with multi core hosts running CEP2 only. I noticed the following maximum memory use (including OS):

I have trouble getting rid of them when I complete them. ![]() Off topic note: The new IBUCH wu's at GPUGrid have gone from 8 hours on a OC'ed GTX260 resulting in one 26 meg upload file (~8-10 min upload) to 21 hours on the same card resulting in four files totaling 4-5 meg (~2-3 min upload). I've only completed two of them so far but they seem to be much improved. At this time the only additional change we are looking at is changing the 'open the floodgates' or 'one at a time' setting to become a setting that lets you pick how many a computer can have at once. The setting choices would be: Default 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Default would check the bandwidth settings. For 2-16, the bandwidth limit would be ignored. This change would let most people be able to customize their contribution to the project to their liking. How many thank you's can one pack in a post with 32000 character limit :O) Project Specific Settings Number of workunits per host for The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2? 5 The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 is limited on how many workunits a computer can have downloaded at a time and what minimum bandwidth the computer must have in order to receive any workunits. Changing this value from the default of 1 will override both of these restrictions. Feels like Neil Young's "Rockin' In the Free World"... 5 in the mix with other projects and a pushed backfill with a properly tuuned cache on a quad could result in what the doctor prescribed... 2 running concurrently at any one time... but surely there are other tricks to achieve this too.
