Install problems with Dotsch/UX on Flash memory stick

Want to install Linux version of World Community Grid client on my EEE PC netbook that currently has Win 7 Starter running on it. Here is what I have done so far.
Downloaded the Dotsch/UX for X86 .iso file.
Used UNetbootin to create the bootable USB flash memory stick.
Changed netbook bios to book from the USB stick.
Machine boots from USB.
I get a blue screen that says UNetbootin at the top.
Below it is a line that says "Default"
Below the blue box it says "Press [Tab] to edit options"
Below that is a count down "Automatic boot in 10.9.8.7.... seconds..."
This automatic count goes to 1 then starts over at 10.
I press the TAB key and I see "> /ubnkern initrd=/ubninit "
What should I do next? Did I do something wrong?
I am a Unix novice...
Thanks for your help/suggestions.

Re: Install problems with Dotsch/UX on Flash memory stick

i.o.w. this is an OS install problem. Recently it was determined that Dotsch did not have proper drivers for some latest hardware, so think you probably first need to search the Dotsch support/forum and get the OS running and connecting to the internet. On the other hand, maybe someone did install Dotsch on a EEE PC before with good result and could share the experience.

Sorry, to not be of much help here, tried same myself in past to get Dotsch to boot from USB and failed and no way to update the BIOS which proofed the problem area.

Unetbootin does not install a persistence folder when you install Dotsch on a flash or USB drive. That will cause you to lose everything that's crunching if you reboot and you will have to reattach to the project after each reboot.
The best way to install Dotsch on flash/usb drives is to first burn the iso to disk(do not unpack it before burning) and boot to it. Select "try without installation" from the menu when it boots. The default login name and password is boinc. After it boots insert the flash/USB drive. Close any screen that shows the USB drive that may open. Click on "Applications' in upper left corner of window. Put cursor on DotschUX USB tools and select "Create USB startup disk step 1. Follow the instructions. When finished with step 1 go to "Applications' in upper left corner of window. Put cursor on DotschUX USB tools and select "Create USB startup disk step 2. Follow the instructions.
You can find more detailed instructions here. Good luck.
