Been into work today to pick up the parts for my new server. Also switched on 2 dual core and 1 quad core workstations to give us a little boost!

Ooooo, new toys for boss wink


Good morning team,

The new i5 Server has just downloaded it's 1st work unit! Running a mild 4GHz overclock, Vertex 4 SSD boot drive, 8GB 1600 MHz RAM, and 16TB HDD in RAID 5


I don't have the new server connected to the internet at the moment as I am curently copying my data onto it. Not to worry, I have downloaded 8 days worth of work and it is happily crunching away!

I've made it to 38 years / 46 million points for the Team & Globe Sig has moved up to 1.92 average years per project biggrin

Whisper it quietly but in terms of Results, the UK team is out performing Improbable Island's Distributed Supercomputer! cool

In the last 7days we've validated 2,153 more results than IIDS wink

They're still 711,170 Results ahead of us which is 2,312 days (6.3 years) at present rate of closure but we're moving in the right direction. biggrin

Excellent work from themoonscrescent.

Have had my new server down in the living room for the last few days whilst I copy my data onto it and using a wireless media centre keyboard to watch content on my flatscreen tv, I am very impressed. Planning on buying another 'full fat' i5 machine to replace my media streamer instead of buying a Surface Pro Tablet in the New Year
