Re: "The survivors"

Congratulations!
IMHO C4SW is one of the best projects if you want good results and points.

Using WCGDAWS makes it possible to know how much run time is IP and PV for each project.
When I have the needed run time plus a few days, in the pipeline, I change projects.
A few days away from a blue snail but it will take an additional 1-2 weeks to get them all through validation.

Re: "The survivors"

Did anyone with an NVIDIA card get some GPU Betas July 9th?
If you were not watching when they came in you wouldn't know unless you check the results status.
I got 41 and they were received, processed, and returned within 15-20 minutes.
It was 2 hours later that I realized GPU Betas were received.
Are they doing any Betas for the ATI cards?
I have two BOINC compatible ATI GPUs that never see any Beta activity.

Re: "The survivors"

Micro$haft issues 11 patches - of course you need to restart your PC after installing.
They also offered one optional patch - MS Silverlight - a product they've announced will be discontinued in the future.
Gotta love these guys. sad

- and if the restart is not performed within a time frame
which is only known to MS
it restarts all by itself while you sleep without saving anything from open files .... crying
That has taught me to restart voluntarily as soon as I notice that yellow thing in my task bar tongue

Re: "The survivors"

I don't worry about restarts because the task will restart at the last checkpoint.
That usually does not cause any noticeable loss of run time.
However, in the last month there have been 3 occasions where team/individual results have deviated well below the norm.
So far no explanation of my lost 300-600 hours of run time.

lm, you can change your Windows Update options to notify you if an update is available and you can decide when to install it.
Then you can sleep soundly at night knowing that some nasty software vendor cannot restart your PC.
