Hello yoro42,
I assume you are asking a real question, rather than posting a rhetorical cry of anguish. If your wingman shut down his computer and went on a trip, the server waited for 10 days, then sent out a makeup copy of the work unit . You can follow this by selecting My Grid - Results status - (Result Name). Lawrence |

Hi Lawrence,
----------------------------------------You assumed correctly. This is the only Result Status entry for CEP2. You also bring up another question. I do not understand the "wingman" terminology. Would you explain it to me? Thanks, Rory |

The wingman is the other computer who is going to perform the same task in a workunit

... which we hopefully get rid off very soon. We devised and implemented an in-house validation procedure which gets rid of the wingman-redundancy. We hope IBM gets around to replace the current scheme with the new one soon - the new 'Drug Search for Leishmaniasis' kept them very busy though, so this has been on the backburner for a while.
Best wishes Your Harvard CEP team |
