There aren't any 5 years badges.
----------------------------------------Maximum is the Blue Sapphire Badge for 2 years AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

There aren't any 5 years badges. Maximum is the Blue Sapphire Badge for 2 years Why is that? No recognition for longer term crunchers seems to not take into account the 'veteran' crunchers needed by each Project. Is each Project not expected to take that long to complete but crunchers with lots of resources get there anyway? ![]() ![]() |

Unfortunately though, the very few techs who are there, are basically swamped with maintaining the current grid as well as preparing for new projects (which includes such things as GPU crunching) and numerous other things that 'happen in the background' which we don't see. What we've all got to remember, is that technology is progressing faster than, at times, it's possible keep up with. After all, reaching 2 years on a single project with a single core, basically took that - around 2 years (~1 year for a dual, and ~3 months for a quad). Now that we're getting even more powerful machines on the market, along with crunchers who have their own 'farm', we're seeing people achieve Sapphire in literally a day... I personally, would rather see more projects 'on the go' than higher badge levels (especially considering we can always make our own/utilise SNURK's fantastic signature to highlight our achievements). ![]() |

I agree but aren't I just talking about another color and changing a number from 2 to 5, to 10, to 15, to 20, to 25, to 50, to 75 and then to 100? I mean that is a simple change, to me, and any graphics person should be able to do it in a few minutes. Now SETTLING on what color is good for what level would be the only problem I can see. Some people may not pink or lime green or whatever, but 8 colors should be doable, to me anyway. I added 15 and 75 because they are consistent 5 years goals, giving people a 'way point' seems reasonable at those levels. ![]() ![]() |
