Seeing before me that IBM will be telling Norton/Symantec to adapt and BOINC not adapting to Norton quirks which other security suites don't have [which would not set a presidence]. The trend is at grids to remove the exe extension from the science apps sitting in the sandbox which BOINC encloses the data_dir area in.

How to manipulate Norton... it is easy.
 The 1.03% not trusted is one program, believe it or not, boinc.exe. Whilst, boincmgr.exe is trusted [it will have had many pop-ups with many users who OKayed it and have the setting active to report back to Norton]. Figure that  --//-- |
