SIGSEGV: segmentation violation or Signal 11 is most often an overloaded system [disk or foreground intense memory operations]. Also network interruptions [Wifi mostly] can cause this. We'd be interested to see the actual Result Status log [found at My Grid > Result Status > Error Status link.
In the case of an overloaded system set "Run based on preferences" in the activity menu. The default is 25% as printed in the below log line; 09-Feb-2012 17:43:59 [---] suspend work if non-BOINC CPU load exceeds 25 % Through trial and error I've found 40% gives enough space for CEP2 jobs not to crash out, on my Linux system. Other systems that may be a higher or lower percent. --//-- |

Yes, most sciences work fine of WCG and elsewhere, but the "Opt-in" CEP2 has very large memory and HD IO demands, so is more susceptible to other events on the system. But, for the asked Result Log, plz go as I described to My Grid > Result Status and click on the Error link of the work unit that bombed and post the content. That will give us possible additional information such as a heartbeat issue.

My Grid > Result Status(error) is clear......
no wu ->no results The posted log is first log after first start after creation..... Thank you for patience |

OK, now I see, you're just starting up [this device install] and have in reality not succeeded with this one to fetch any WCG tasks
----------------------------------------09-Feb-2012 17:43:59 [World Community Grid] URL http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/; Computer ID not assigned yet; resource share 100 When you wrote "i have this failure with wcg -cep2. other projects works fine " I mistakenly thought that you were talking about other science projects at WCG working fine. Well, don't know how this SIGSEGV is then caused by WCG connecting, certainly not CEP2 related. Is this install from an repository, whatever it's called for suse? The one that Ubuntu has in their software catalog is 6.12.33. --//-- edit: Per openSuse Official OSS, 6.10.60 seems to be the supported version: http://en.opensuse.org/Package_list which is essentially 6.10.58 plus a few fixes that have no effect on WCG operations. Frequent fails of BOINC on linux to work is either the incorrect platform identification or missing 32 bit libraries. Here is a prior discussion of someone else having problems on openSuse 12.1 which may be of help to you:
