 everyone....and good to see you Rudi.... You are still blasting away on points. Good job. I am going to drop today as I have work units reporting 8% done after 2hrs.... uff that will push us up tomorrow!!! ... however today's average will drop  |

See if I can add a box for a day or 2 or 3 or 4 or more After I finish cutting up some logs. Got a tractor trailer here that dumped a load of maple and birch logs. Now to cut them up to 14" and split them.. You know what they say about firewood. You warm up cutting and splitting, then you warm up stacking the wood and finally you warm up burning it. I need about 10 full cords for the winter.... and that saves me at leastt 2500 in Hydro costs, though the rates will be higher this year. At least I dont have to use oil or gas to heat......... I need about 10 full cords for the winter Rudi!! I kind of envy you being able to that, at the same time I take my hat of to you as I know it takes an extra effort to use natural products like wood to heat your house during winter. I will be away till sunday evening... so hold fort while I am away |

I will be away till sunday evening... so hold fort while I am away No extra effort just $$$ and cents...... The city folks pay 80.00 a face cord ( read a 1/4 of a cord). If I had to pay those prices I would be using oil or Hydro also. But I paid under 25.00 a cord for seasoned hardwood logs. ( The joys of country life). Besides looking at oil and gas futures...I am glad I can use wood. At least the Hydro in the summer is bearable and the A/C is great. lol |
