Disk Space Error

Bionic tells me that there's "no work available to process" for World Community Grid, and at least once per day I get "(WCG Project Name) needs 100.00 MB more disk space. You currently have 0.00 MB available and it needs 100.00 MB."

How do I fix this?

Re: Disk Space Error

Hello Blackfire667,
Ouch! The first thing to do is to post the first page of your Messages Tab after a startup. This will tell us what sort of system and OS you have. Another thing you can look at is My Grid - Device Manager - (Selected Profile). This will tell you how much Disk Space you are allowing BOINC to use, unless you are running on local preferences instead of website preferences.

Right: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=7569

2 CA's asking for the same information, 2 days in between.

confused

edit: Had one myself this afternoon:
World Community Grid: Notice from server
GO Fight Against Malaria needs 5.69MB more disk space. You currently have 94.31 MB available and it needs 100.00 MB.

Did s little disk cleaning and set the allowed percent of disk use up, and in they started flowing again. The requested start-up message log will though tell us which is the root problem.

Re: Disk Space Error

Probably the culprit: 24/05/2012 5:03:28 PM | | max disk usage: 0.10GB

Start by clearing your settings under Advanced/Preferences

Maybe the host system has enough space to work with, but your client is not 'allowed'. 100MB is not much, and that's surely already fully taken.

Suppose you set BOINC to only use 50% of the 4 processor system that BOINC identifies.
