Hi.
----------------------------------------I'm bookmarking some of the webpages in Firefox. For example, "Recent Threads" page in the forum, with URL: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/listrecentthreads Most of the time I use this bookmark, the browser shows the page with "http" protocol. But sometimes, the browser shows the page using secure "https" protocol, and URL bar shows https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/listrecentthreads The behavior above applies to other pages, i.e. My Grid, Result Status, and so on. I want to know why these different behaviors happen. I'm NOT thinking this as a problem. I'm just curious. ![]() Thank you.

This is a long standing behavior. Think the techs would prefer a revert to the http://www.... addresses, but as with me, once I'm logged in, the browser [Firefox in my case from 3 to now 15.0.1] sticks to the https://secure... addresses which is slower / puts more load on web server.
Whilst writing this, I noted that a long standing signout/page navigation/refresh delay issue of 10-20 seconds on FF up to including 13.0.xx has now under 15.0.1 magically disappeared. All pages load more or less immediate and releasing the frozen state. The most prominent delay I experienced was signing out, which jumps back to the front page, which then froze the browser for up to 30 seconds... notihng working, not tab changing either. No idea what changed this, but for longer had my browser configured to report back performance statistics back to |

Thank you for the reply.
----------------------------------------I also noticed that:
I noted that a long standing signout/page navigation/refresh delay issue of 10-20 seconds on FF up to including 13.0.xx Oh... that's very annoying ![]() I'm currently using Firefox 3.6.12 and 12.0.0, and not experiencing delays like that, so far. If it happens to me in the future, I'll upgrade my FF to 15.0.1 (or later). Thanks again! ![]()
