Re: switched back to cep2..now error

Not much information. My first guess would be overloading some software so it timed out. CEP2 is a monster in some ways, which is why it has default limits.

Re: switched back to cep2..now error

Will try resetting tonight after the current work has finished.
I would have thought having 4 of these running on a 3770k would be ok tbh.

I switched back to malaria for the time being but will set a lower limit maybe.

thx

Re: switched back to cep2..now error

If my I7-2670QM can run 8 concurrent, then a 3770 would be doing that hands down. One warning, *never* start them simultaneous from 0:00. This will create a lock-state where you wont be seeing crunching progress for a long time [I did]. Initially kick them off one by one, till they've reached 1st checkpoint [bout 5 minutes]. Once they run staggered, and hands off on W7, I'm seeing 99% efficiency with just 8GB of RAM [1333 type].

Re: switched back to cep2..now error

I did start all 8 at once from 0:00, looks like I also made that mistake then too.
I am currently running four with staggered starts like you suggested, will clear out the malaria(only 1 day buffer) and will goto 8.

thanks for help all smile
