Re: Has HCC gone 64bit?

Regardless, thanks for the option. :) It's good to have another 64bit project to work with, especially when it's one of the reasons so many of us came here in the first place.
Thanks again. :)

Re: Has HCC gone 64bit?

Did some informal comparing after rebuilding a dual boot consisting of W8-64 and Ubuntu 12.10-64 (kernel 3.5.0-19), and must say that the double long dozen run on Linux were about 10-15% faster [confirmed to be 64 bit app] then the dozen fetched just before on W8 [32bit app], just before booting across i.e. were of the same batch range.

[OT]W8 needed almost 10 days of uptime before it finally settled in to the groove, stopped indexing this/that and everything on the LAN. Efficiency now recorded by BOINCTasks at 99.8%. As reported, that OS dropped the hourly power consumption from 170 to 162 Watts/Hour on this aging machine. Still to look how that is under Ubuntu 12.10, which opposed to W7/W8 still supports drivers and recognizes my Bluetooth printer.[/OT]
