Re: JTS 2 - Movin' on Up!

looks like the new machine won't be up today

ebuyer sent it for tuesday 19th, arrived and signed for @ my dad's work on that day before 10:20, only its now not there...

he's asked around but nobody says they've had it...

Royal mail's tracking service confirmed it was signed for at the correct address and on the right day and the right time, so somebodies lying

What kind of people is he working with that steal from a colleague? Worse than that, one that is using the parts for a project helping mankind?

Really annoyed now

I would be annoyed also. Hope it all gets sorted out.

Re: JTS 2 - Movin' on Up!

Hey all. Sorry I hae been gone so long.

I see we started another thread. Man that's what 3 in a week?

I just put in a new network for a client. In 3 days two of us put in

45 computer cables
38 phone cable
Phone system
2 dsl lines
1 rack
1 FreeBSD (www.boiseweekly.com) server
1 Mac Server.
2 48 port 110 punchdown
1 48 port switch
1 24 port 110

All on a cement floor. My calf muscles are so brused I can't hardly walk.

Oh and all this was done while the client was moving into the building in a wind storm that took out the electricity twice so we had to work by flashlights.

Ah yes... now that takes me back to my days of installing and conguring networks. Some of my tools of the trade:

For concrete floors:

For finding one cable in a big pile of spaghetti underneath a false floor:

For most other eventualities:
