Nvidia & Radeon AIT in same machine?

Hi All
Can I put two GPU's/cards in one machine i.e. NVidia and an ATI, so I could crunch on both at the same time, doing diferent jobs/projects?

Would it work & Would it benefit me?

Many thanks for your thoughts...

M

You could do it but it could be more hassle than it's worth.

Re: Nvidia & Radeon AIT in same machine?

I have had no particular problem with it. You just need a cc_config.xml file (placed in the BOINC data directory) to instruct BOINC on which card you want to exclude from which project.
See the section on "<exclude_gpu>code</exclude_gpu>":
http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?langu...9401f3b411e2fd047057571b9

I have used it to run one HD 7770 on HCC, and another on POEM for example, or to exclude an Nvidia GTX 560 Ti from HCC while allowing an HD 7770 to run it.

If you use Notepad to create this file, remember to use "save as" to save it as an .xml file (not a .txt file).
