News is that the last HCC work has been loaded into BOINC. It might last until the end of April (day after tomorrow). After that, it's just resends. If you're working on an HCC badge, good luck. With the morning update today, HCC is now my top project in runtime and points. I've got over 12 years of computing time into HCC. I hope they come up with something. Agreed. I'd hope that cancer projects could become like HPF2 or FAAH and be a regular part of WCG all the time! |

My two machines are still running BOINC 6.10.58 and it's probably a good idea to bite the bullet and upgrade to BOINC 7. What visible changes will I notice? I understand that the old messages tab is now events. Is that basically just a label change or do they bury most of the messages in one of the log files? GPU support is a big part as I recall but I'm CPU only.

My two machines are still running BOINC 6.10.58 and it's probably a good idea to bite the bullet and upgrade to BOINC 7. What visible changes will I notice? I understand that the old messages tab is now events. Is that basically just a label change or do they bury most of the messages in one of the log files? GPU support is a big part as I recall but I'm CPU only. The log file (Message Tab) is now located under Advanced menu item, labeled Event Log. Other than that, it doesn't look much different.
