Well, it's late enough here that it's now the 6th. That's the 69th anniversary of the Allied invasion at Normandy in WWII (D-day). It's also now the first anniversary of C-day for me - when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

1991 The year my eldest Emily was born. Can't quite work out how she got to 22 so quickly. We're getting closer  Also the year I met my wife (4/20), proposed (5/23) and married (9/1). Seems to have been a good year!  |

Sorry about being gone so long and my results being so scattered. Anyway, things should settle down soon. Vacation took us to the 4 of the lower 48 we had not visited since I retired so that is done. (MI, MN, IW, WI). Storms chased us away (once we made our appointed rounds) to Colorado where we had a hoot. There is a neat Distillery there in downtown Denver. Great Whiskey...but not cheap and only available in Colorado. Remarkable the difference in the taste when neat and then with just water added. Truly remarkable.. I would never have thought it.

Road trips can be quite an experience but my last one (7500 miles in 16 days back in '99 or '00) still satisfies that urge for wanderlust Have a look at World Community Grid - Important Updates when you can. They mention a surprise or two. Can't help but wonder if they're going to do GPU on FAAH. Of the projects left, that one makes the most sense. Hopefully, the new cancer project coming will include GPU as well. |
