Interesting. One of the host of doctors my wife and I see sends out a newsletter (a tie-in with the real provider and the Dr's website). One thing that caught my eye was that, supposedly, too much or too little vitamin D increases men's risk of prostate cancer ( the numbe two cancer in men behind skin cancer). It says 15-20 minutes of sun exposure provides enough for light-skinned men. I was taking 2000 IU of vitamin D there for a short time (not long enough that I would consider it a suspect). I started having occasional episodes of anxiety (which only made things worse since I tended to get anxious about being anxious - it is a tad unnerving feeling "out of control"). Those quit when I quit taking the vitamin D. What surprised me was there was no mention of the use of testosterone supplements. That's the latest over-prescribed treatment at the moment. Part of that problem is some doctors prescribing it without even running the simple blood test to check your current levels. Anyway, it's now known that supplemental testosterone increases your prostate cancer risk - not in the sense of causing it but in terms of bringing it out. It's like emptying a gasoline tanker on your campfire. My first endocrinologist put me on a testosterone treatment when my thyroid first went out. When I dumped him and switched to my current endo, I took myself off it and noticed no difference. My current endo ran the blood test and confirmed I was fine without it. The one thing that my cancer drove home was the importance of listening to and paying attention to what your own body is telling you.

Sigh. Returned my last GFAM wu as I was posting our stats. Running all DSFL now until it ends or hopefully, we start seeing betas for the new cancer project first.

Have you thought about doing CEP2?

Yes, seems that my ISP had a problem that, while the DSL was actually working, did not allow it to authenticate the modem (sounds like a corrupt database to me) so you weren't allowed to use the network. Apparently, most of the state of Georgia was out for right at half a day. Thanks to RT, he was able to grab yesterday's numbers for me. I have those and am posting the stats for both days now.
