I have been very ill since making a couple moving trips to Texas--back in Virginia at the moment and hoping to finish some work then making another moving trip--moving is not as much fun as i hoped--Hope everyone is well--very disappointed with the internet service where i am moving to RT on the next trip i will be spending the night somewhere around Dallas and will try to get in touch with you--Go MOT!! Hey buddy. I have this almost new I7 with a big GPU sitting here doing nothing but taking up space. It is yours for a song..or perhaps not a song. No never mind. It is just yours for picking it up. IIRC: I7 3770 and an NVIDIA 580 and probably 500GB Disk and 4GB perhaps 8GB of memory on a GIGABYTE MB. Also, I think it is Windows 8. That is all from memory so could be a bit off...but not a lot. Thanks RT old friend!!--I will let you know when i leave for Texas again-i will be towing another car for a friend of Linda's that came here with her--so she is going back also--I am not going to make it in two days this time and will stop somewhere near Dallas--if there is a spot close to you let me know and i will go there I hope all is well with you and your family Look forward to seeing you!!Gerald, hope you're doing much better now. Va to Tx in two days would have been a challenge for me in my young snot days! That's probably a good 24 hours of just drive time. I assume you're doing something along the lines of 95 down to 40, across NC and TN, picking up 30 in AR and on to DFW and 35 down to the Austin area? The road buzz from doing a 12 hour stint on the road takes me a day or two to get over nowadays. Keith i took 64 west to 81 south past Bristol then 40 thru Nashville and Memphis to Little Rock to Dallas and i think 35 south past Waco to Burnet County--1540 miles and its just to much to do in two days--I will be making it a three day trip from now on!! In my way long ago younger years i hitchhiked across the country from Portland Oregon to Richmond Va.couldnt get a ride so i bought a map and got on all the roads the Interstate replaced and could catch rides from town to town--when i got to Richmond the black people were rioting which i did not know until i got home in Newport News--i guess when people saw me they figured i was one crazy SOB and nobody gave me a hard time--  [Edit 1 times, last edit by GeraldRube at Jul 22, 2013 4:18:48 PM] |
