Hi, I recently updated to Windows 7 and download BOINC Manager Version 6.10.58. When I want to attach a project to run. It ask me for my login but when I did, it mentioned logon failed. But I managed to login to the website with my email address and password.

If you are trying to attach to WCG, you should be using your member name and password. Other BOINC projects use email address and password but WCG is different in that respect.

Just attach to WCG using Winnietan as the username and your normal password....

Hi all, I found it pretty strange that the BOINC Manager is asking me to attach a project one by one where last time round I will just need to set preferences as all projects.
Is this due to me not copy my old files from Windows XP into this new Windows 7 ? The BOINC Manager is asking me for email address and password which I login as WCG information and got the "Login Failed" message. |

Boinc Manager does NOT ask you to attach to individual WCG projects. Boinc Manager DOES ask to to attach to other totally non-WCG projects such as SETI, POEM Einstein etc. When you attach to WCG in Boinc Manager, you confirm that you are an existing Member and it will then ask for your username and password.....note USERNAME not e-mail. If you are being asked for e-mail then you are not attaching to WCG as an existing member but trying to attcah to a non-WCG Project.

Hi all, I delete and reinstall BOINC manager and finally got it resolved. It prompt me for username and password now.
