Aborted Listed as Error

I aborted a couple of CEP2 WU's on one of my machines and when I look at the list of results they are listed as 'Error' and not 'User Aborted'.....any idea why this should be?

Re: Aborted Listed as Error

Update. It appears that the ones listed correctly were on Version 6.10.58 and the incorrect were on 7.0.47

At the end you found the reason yourself, Alan.

There is a difference between the handling on the server (old BOINC-server code), whether the exit codes come from client version 6 or 7.
In BOINC v7 new exit codes were added and some changed.

Re: Aborted Listed as Error

So the 'old' server code was correct and the new one is now incorrect......that's what I call progress! wink

Re: Aborted Listed as Error

Funny, how this comes up again... you only need to put the right glasses on: Filter on 'Error' and see what ... Nada [that is if you did not have any real errored tasks]. Filter on 'User Aborted' and you see all the aborted tasks. The seemingly only thing to fix is the displayed label [insert/mend that patch CP linked/posted about long ago]. The underlying processing of code 202/203 user/server aborted for client v7 is correct i.e. does not reduce quota, but if fetched today, of course it comes off at 1:1.

It's on the [radarboat to China] to-do list to fix this, like the rest of that 'how much baggage can you carry' long list.
