Re: Good Morning Team

Good morning team. Formula 1 is back and so far an awesome performance from Lewis Hamilton. He got his 50th career pole position in grand style despite the Mickey Mouse qualifying system. If he can convert Pole to a win he will have lead every session (FP1, FP2 and FP3 included) this weekend. Go Lewis!

Re: Good Morning Team

To be honest it would be nice if someone other than Mercedes win the first few GPs. It would certainly liven things up a bit.

Re: Good Morning Team

Dave I remember McLaren dominance, Ferrari dominance and more recently Red Bull dominance. Fortunately it is not a level playing field and teams other than Mercedes strive to win - this can only be a good thing although it may take them a season or two to catch up. By far the best drivers out there are Hamilton, Rosberg, Vettel, Button, Alonso and Riccardo. If they all had the same cars then life would be far more interesting (I still believe that Hamilton would win!). Don't forget that all of the press pundits castigated Hamilton for jumping the McLaren ship and going to Mercedes. It was predicted to be a career disaster - the smile is on whose face now?

Re: Good Morning Team

I'm not sure about Hamilton. He's undoubtedly very quick, but in the past he's pulled a few overtaking manoeuvres on Rosberg that he wouldn't have got away with on Schumacher in his prime (or me!!). It would indeed be fascinating to see them all driving the same car, but of course, the sport is a team sport, even if it is the drivers who hit the headlines.

Re: Good morning team

Good morning all. The points are getting back to normal after the Betas have cleared the PV jail. I stayed up last night (strictly speaking this morning) to watch the OZ F1 GP. A very exciting race with a spectacular accident which wrote off Alonso's car (fortunately Alonso was OK). It was the usual Mercedes 1 2 but this time Rosberg was ahead following a bad start from Hamilton who dropped to 7th initially.

Re: Good morning team

Good morning all. At least it was until I restarted my iMac. I looked at WCG first thing when I got up and noticed a CEP2 Beta had been running for over 20 hours with 67% completion. I tried a few other tasks but the iMac seemed slow so I thought a reboot was called for. When BOINC manager had restarted I noticed that all of the WUs had reset to 0% including my 20h crunching on the Beta. I'm sure that I have all my settings OK. Any ideas to avoid this happening again?
