Government spying is nothing new and has been going on for a very long time. It's only recently been coming to light because of whistle blowers, social media and more people being made aware of what's really going on. We've been lied to about almost everything. I agree we have been lied to in the past and probably will be in the future. I don't like being lied to by others or the government. We can not have total freedom nor have total privacy. We need to have the appropriate checks and balances built into the system to protect both. Cheers Sorry Sgt Joe there is no cheer in what the govt is doing to us  I am just trying to throw a little light on the subject. Not all government is evil. Let us shed some light on the bad parts and root it(them) out and re-inforce the good parts. "It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness."(W.L.Watkinson ?)
