Frankly, one CA thinks you make no sense at all. The first 10,000 have a short deadline [to get a fast verification set] and already the 10 day deadline results are flowing abundantly [but that's just one CA's observations] edit: And since this is a quorum 2 science [think that will stay, but who's to say], the first 10,000 is really 20,000 originals. I made plenty of sense based on what I knew when I wrote that BUT I'm glad to hear they are on top of this! My comments weren't meant in any negative manner at all just to point out that these first 10K WU would go VERY fast.. Your new beast probably got most of them.

So, the first 10k work units (1 batch) had a deadline of 3 days. The rest from here until we change it will have 10 day deadlines. We currently have over 50 batches on our servers with more being created for us to distribute.
10k work units means 20k results sent to members. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Ok, the automatic method for resends is to do 40% of the original deadline. .. .. .. Thanks, -Uplinger Original deadline is 3 days. 40% of that is 28.8 hours -> The resends have a deadline of 21.6 hours. Something wrong with your algorithm. The deadline seems to be 30% of the original  I'll double check this tomorrow. But I'm pretty sure it's 40%, I bet that since we have had successful results it could have decreased the estimated fpops used per work unit which may have skewed this towards 30%. Hi Uplinger.
I haven't seen it stated anywhere but is this project going to be two copies per task all the time or will it go to one task after checking is done. Sorry if I missed it somewhere. thanks. |

Right now it will be 2 copies per task. If we are going to zero redundancy, that will be a conversation with the researchers later. Right now since this is a new application it will start as a redundant application.
