Remind me how daily quota works biggrin

Seeing these messages in the event log:

11/8/2013 11:03:55 PM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
11/8/2013 11:03:55 PM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU
11/8/2013 11:03:58 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
11/8/2013 11:03:58 PM | World Community Grid | No tasks sent
11/8/2013 11:03:58 PM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Mapping Cancer Markers
11/8/2013 11:03:58 PM | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for the applications you have selected.
11/8/2013 11:03:58 PM | World Community Grid | This computer has finished a daily quota of 5 tasks

I know this is normal with the start of a new project. Doesn't this mean that this machine has to return "N" tasks first before the servers will send it more work for this project? Thx!

Re: Remind me how daily quota works biggrin

Thanks Lawrence! I could have sworn there was a FAQ on it but I couldn't find it with my searches. Anyway, the messages seem to have gone away already. I had figured they would in time but this has been faster than I expected.

Re: Remind me how daily quota works biggrin

One detail about MCM is the quite astonishing variety of WU completion times - I've had one that took about 2.5 hours and several that have stretched out to over 12 hours, with the majority being somewhere in the range of 4-8.... this is what the techs warned was likely to happen - info spot-on!!!

Ahhh, glad you mentioned that. I found it a bit puzzling that some WUs completed in just over an hour, and some were almost 5 hours! They seem to have settled down now to around 2-3 hours, guess it might have been the first batches that were all over the place.

I hadn't seen the warning from the Techs.
