Today, I have noticed that my Samsung Galaxy S3 is idle for the last few hours. I have restarted the device and BOINIC Manager a couple of times but couldn't get any new tasks. It says "Nothing to do Waiting for tasks..."
----------------------------------------I checked My Project Page and FightAIDS@Home option was checked. I checked: FightADIS@Home Page (https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/faah/overview.do) FightAIDS@Home Forum (https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/listthreads?forum=101) This Android Forum But there isn't any information regarding the shortage of tasks. Am I the only once facing this issue or not?  |

I do not think so. If you are, the messages in your Event Log will say that you have reached your quota when you ask for new tasks. What message do you get when you ask for new tasks? Could you paste parts of your Event Log for us to study? The startup messages and the recent messages refusing to send more tasks. Lawrence |

Thanks for tell me about the Event Log lawrencehardin. I checked it and found that there were several messages about lack of memory. I checked my cell's storage and found that I had 8.7 GBs free. I then checked the BOINIC Settings and therein was the issue. I originally wanted the free space to be 1.1 GBs but it seemed that I missed the decimal so it became 11 GB. Thus, no new Tasks were being assigned since there was insufficient memory. I changed it to 1.1 GBs and restarted BOINIC and immediately got 3 tasks which are happily crunching away. Sorry for the inconvenience.
----------------------------------------BTW, it is possible to change the message (maybe in a future update) from "Nothing to do Waiting for tasks..." to "Lack of Memory" or something similar which could help in the troubleshooting? |

Carried the same question to the developers last week, about work being paused and it just saying ''waiting to run''. The interest was positively poor. It used to be when a task was paused for resource shortage reasons to say "waiting for memory".

Thanks for informing me about this. I wonder why that was changed. I do hope that in the future, it can be improved upon by the developers.
