Thought I should pop in for a sec. Work is running a bit hot and heavy right now or I'd be in more often.
----------------------------------------Hello everybody. Hello new team members from the last week or so: Cousin Caterpillar Sensai MarkHolland1967 ideas4writers Great crunchin EVERYBODY. I would have had another 2,000-2,500 points but one of my slower PC's grid agent locked up on it for a few days before I noticed. A reboot and it seems fine again. I think I may have had enough to get that 6th spot back from gordoma for a few hours. drat it.  Sleep time  ....  |

Good morning everyone, and I think it really is morning for everyone!
Just broke into the top 3000 for results and should earn another brown star later today. A belated welcome to our new members!  You'll do us proud.Cuz', thanks for the offer, but the answer to my problem appears to be to buy a whole lotta RAM. 512MB or even 768MB doesn't seem to be enough to please the powers that be at UD (who wrote the software). Plenty enough to run the program but not enough to earn any points to speak of. |

Not a bad old day crunching - managed to reach 7/7/7. Thank goodness for Kentucky Wildcats, changed us from the dreaded 6/6/6 Team moving up the ranks, and if I want to keep my pie I'm gonna have to sort out that Pond Scum  |

John - I know the feeling about those new stars - I rank at the more or less the same level and the stars really are a good reminder that you are making progress - nicer than raw data/numbers for sure! Glad I am crunching with guys like you! |

---------------------------------------- I hope that everyone had a good weekend! I had most of my machines turned off for about 24/36 hours over the weekend, hence no pie for me yesterday... Hopefully I can make up for that today and keep Wilber at bay before Cuz comes up and obliterates me. It's great to see you making great progress up the team... another big hitter! Well, I thought the Cuz's table was a top idea, and for John's benefit, I have put my own one together. As you can see, most of my machines are skip-salvage, but they do well enough for me! I've missed out the OC column as non of them are and also the NW score as it's always 100. Bear in mind that they are all Intel so the scores will be lower than AMDs in general. It appears from this that more RAM seems to be a better advantage than a faster processor (more or less) I've put them in the order of points per hour of processing, with the greatest at the top (which I don't have access to right now so I don't know the score)  |
