New android version has eliminated the run/don't option tab...not a good move.

I'm not sure how the run/don't option tab worked but you can suspend all tasks at the Boinc Projects tab pop up menu. You can also do a force stop from the application manager.

Now that I updated it, I'm not seeing any option under Preferences to control how it runs on battery. So I have to manually suspend it to keep the battery from running down. Am I missing something?

Yes. In the Preferences tab, Power section, tap on "Power sources for computation", and then deselect Battery. Version 7.2.41. |

Upgraded to version 4.3.0 today. Now the Tasks page can always be on top, and can suspend/resume from multiple locations.

A strange version, 4.3.0, a typo surely. Those living dangerous may want to try 7.3.5. Have had 3 consecutive valids now for WCG. There was a note about "better BOINC app co-existence". Running 2 of 4 threads on BOINC.
Don't get your hopes up too high though as some users suspect this change causes problems elsewhere and the developer replying it was related to BOINC better behaving towards non BOINC applications, which either way if behaving better can only be positive for task processing ![]() |

Updated to 7.3.5 yesterday and my S3 stopped crunching. It turns out there is a new preference called "Pause computing when screen is on" The default enables this.
