On the other hand the "pause computing while screen is on" default to true might increase the Android contribution. There may be a way to check the stats to know for sure.
I've always had a suspicion that people who quit within hours or days of installing BOINC do so because it interferes with their favorite game or program. And in a panic they uninstall BOINC. But I don't know how often this happens. |

My Samsung Victory running Android 4.1.2 upgrade to Boinc 7.3.5 on February 25. The device has returned only results with a status of Error on the WCG website. Does anyone have any suggestions concerning what to do to correct this problem? It was returning valid results until the upgrade.
----------------------------------------My PC and ASUS tablet seem to be returning valid results just fine. ![]() |

Hello tbachamp,
They still have BOINC 7.2.41 for Android/ARM at https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php though downloading requires the proper security instructions to run non-Playstore Apps. Consider reinstalling from the Playstore for a trial. If that does not work, this is another option. Be sure you only run 1 task at a time if you are having problems, since sometimes that is the source of trouble. Keep us informed. Lawrence |

Lawrence,
----------------------------------------Thank you for your help. I reduced the number of tasks from 2 to 1 and my phone is now returning valid results. I am still running the latest release of the BOINC software. Todd ![]() |

A couple of days after my last post, all I was returning were invalid results. I finally gave up about ten days ago and stopped downloading new tasks on both of my android devices. For some reason, I decided to try again and set both devices to download tasks and run on one processor. I have a valid results from the tablet! I just saw the news item concerning an application update for the FightAids@home project. Maybe that was the real cause of the issue and not my devices or the BOINC upgrade. I'll know more in a couple of days.

tbachamp,
----------------------------------------Yes, this update was meant to solve those nvalid results. Well, most of them anyway. AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

Supposedly Google has a fix underway, but for now, the relationship between Apple & Android devices with wbsites is intrusionable... http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-switc...ers-researchers-discover/
----------------------------------------Yes, the US government '90s dictate to use breakable encryption and place backdoors is still there... all conveniently forgotten. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 5, 2015 9:58:46 AM] |

Not only Apple and Android are vulnerable, Windows too: https://freakattack.com/ The good news to include for myself is, it's not affecting Firefox users... hardly ever use a different browser: http://betanews.com/2015/03/06/all-windows-versions-are-vulnerable-to-freak/
