Re: smile smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today! smile smile smile

Less than a 100 days processing to MOT's 200th Birthday it was close yesterday. With a bit of luck we might even be able to celebrate a 250 days/day crunching average cool
A fair old queue is lining up for the 6 digit club plenty of encouragement is required team.

Congrats on the 2 years Graham nice one. (I'm coming back at ya wink)

I'm trying to get into that top 1000 49 places to go. It's not easy I've now got a 12,000+ running (4 PC's) and I'm only moving forward by 1 or 2 per day. It makes you appreciate the amount of number crunching that is really going on on this project

From what I've seen help is finally getting through to the folk of New Orleans and the surrounding area - at last !! It was getting a bit desperate out there

Re: smile smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today! smile smile smile

I have a son that lives in Navarre Fl. (The eye wall of hurricane Dennis missed his place by about 7 miles). He is making daily trips over into Mississippi where some of his in-laws live delivering a generator, diapers, water, food, clothes etc. etc. We have sent him money to help finance the effort. At the moment, there are 17 of his inlaws living in a small trailer house without water, power or anything else. They are short on gas so they can only run the generator my son took over part time. It is really tough on them all.

By having a son doing the distribution, we know that every penny goes where it needs to go. Directly to solving a problem..not partly to pay some bureaucrat’s salary and partly for this and partly for that. Some of his in-laws may be coming here to stay with us for a while and I think I have found some jobs for them – if they come.

Our friends in New Orleans Escaped Thursday with their guns pointing at the looters and thugs and are now in a motel in Houston (near where they and we used to live). They have money and a job with a *major* corporation. They lost all their possessions and probably their beloved pets but they are safe and sound.

All in all not unusual stories of folks in the hurricane area; but a personal one from someone on the periphery with a keyhole looking in.

Everyone say a prayer for those that did not make it and those that won’t. All mine seem to be out of danger but many are not.

Kind regards to all.

Re: smile smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today! smile smile smile

How can I put this

I've just realised just how cool this team of ours really is

Each day I have been amazed to see our progress through the ranks. I think what we have achieved is really fantastic. But every now and again you just step back and really consider what's gone on.

Tonight we will have over 200 years of processing added to the WCG's grand total by "little" MOT that is astounding for a team that has had only 201 members on board at some time - this smiley doesn't go half the way to expressing this shock

We only have the IBM Corporation - the IBM Corporation - and /. with an avid pre existing PC savvy user base and 16 times our teams membership in front of us.

That's really special

I just thought you should know how much you are appreciated, every one of you who make up our so called MOTley crew.

smile MyOnlineTeam celebrate 200 years of crunching together applause applause applause

An average of 250 days a day since kick off on the 16th November 2004 - and it took us until the 17th March before we had even posted 250 days in a single day biggrin

(Graphic from Graham smile)

We now have just IBM Corporation and the mighty Slashdot in front of us.
Yet we are still just 24th in number

MyOnlineTeam - the little BIG team
We are on the lookout for new team mates, everyone is welcome big and little crunchers alike

We've been having such a good time that those 200 years have gone by in what feels like only 9 1/2 Months wink

Thanks to the Great Crunching Crew cool
