Re: crying crying crying Public Appology to All Members of My Online Team except the captain sad sad sad

Dear members of My Online Team,

Today is a really sad day! crying I have to appologise to so many of you for letting you all down. straight face I know this is a team effort but I feel like things could have been different if only I had more processing power! nerd

The sad truth is I join My Online Team the day after it was born and since then always enjoyed the fact that I've been on top of the mighty captain wink fighting the good fight with my solo ultra reliable old Althlon 64. cool Spanking daves nForce 2's good and proper devilish which I recommened to him when I had my nForce 420D board.

Tomorrow there will be nothing left for me to do but order a dual-core Althon 64 system to recover from the pain of distributed processing against my lonely and overworked Althon 64 crying it needs a friend to talk to on the network maybe they will hook up together love struck and produce a small cluster of baby Althon 64's tongue you never know!

325,000 points later I celebrate my last day above my old friend dave by remembering all the good days when I was able to say "dont worry dave gonna take alot of nForces 2's to take me down" now I have to admit that I dont have the power any longer and that I may have to turn to the dark side and invest in a stand alone nForce 2 barebone system which also doubles up as a rather expensive door stop.

For everyone in the top 25 above me all I can say is be afraid be very afriad! Big bad dave is coming after you and he will huff and puff and blow you wcg points away! Hope your living in a titanium build house otherwise you maybe done for! sick

Keep on crunching everyone! And remember daves out there!

LOL

Don't worry Jonathon you are still in with a chance I'm taking a break next week so I'll just be leaving the MOT webserver on for good measure.

I'm sure you will be back bigger, better and uglier than before wink

I have to admit it the nForce 2 days are coming to an end. I rode the wave from it's very beginning, I had that PC running on the 20th December 2002 and the original chip is now in Jess's PC and that Mobo is in Emily's PC, to it's long overdue end, all at your suggestion. Socket A is dead - long live Socket 939, 64 Bit computing, PCI express and dual/quad+ cores.

It's been VFM crunching in the Autumns household I'm crunching with 12000+ and all 4 of those processors cost me about £275. I've just checked and a 4800+ Dual core will set you back £646 !!

Hopefully they will now come to within my budget wink In the P2/P3 days it was "Never spend more than £200 on a processor" now it's "Never spend more than £100 + VAT" biggrin

If the petrol keeps going up I might have to revise the figures above today in the UK I saw my first £1/litre petrol shock

Keep them crunching Jonathon I'm sure you will get ahead of me again
Dave

Just so you know the £1/litre is not a typo

that's $6.98 per American Gallon (3.7854 litres, or should that be Liters wink) and €6.68 per Imperial Gallon (4.54609 litres) at todays exchange rates.

~80% is tax and then add VAT and then the Petrol Station pays tax on the profit it makes and the oil company pays tax on it's profits. And to pay for it in the first place you have to pay income tax and national insurance to get to your £1 to pay for that litre.

Don't get me started - I nearly went on a rant there blushing

Graham, got your message in our team thread - Thanks very much for your effort! Can I make a couple of suggestions then, if you find a bored moment, it may give you something to work on. I know I'm cheeky but we Scots are renowned for it wink

The blue on the Scotland flag (Saltire) is slightly too light - it is supposed to represent the night sky - and is it possible to have the same animation as the Lion Rampant as it looks slightly false on your one? Explanation of Saltire origins My own one is also too light but it's all I've got just now and been waiting weeks on promised copy of Corel 12 to try to sort it myself! Promised again for tomorrow - fingers crossed. I am also worried that the centre image loses it's clarity when reduced - Any suggestions as your work makes my Sig look so much neater than my jumble.

Re: smile smile smile theunderdog Reaches 100K MyOnlineTeam Points Today! smile smile smile

Welcome aboard VioletStranger thanks for choosing to crunch with the MyOnlineTeam Crew

I'm currently having a bit of a nightmare back at MOT HQ - the Autumns Household - I've taken my main PC off air with the aid of a screwdriver. As soon as I get up and running I promise to add you to the MOT database so that your member page will hopefully soon be online, hopefully

The best thing about this crunching addiction is that I still have a few spare to work with smile

Sorry this is not of my usual welcome to the team standard. Is there anyone out there ready to take over and make our new recruit welcome and show them the ropes?

Thanks again for choosing MOT

"Running around like a headless chicken" Dave
