Thanks... we'll see what clocking down the cpu frequency does over the next couple days. I'm curious how many days are being averaged for that stat.

Re: ***Exclusive*** SNURK Sig '1T Club'

Added about 30% more nodes, so here's the new "Top" header:
Cluster totals: 290 nodes, 4640 cpus, 12993792 MHz, 6824.03 GB mem
Avg: 97% cputil, 1809.00 MB memutil, load 17.76, 494 procs, uptime 91 day(s)
High: 100% cputil, 16756.00 MB memutil, load 20.07, 32542 procs, uptime 367 day(s)
Low: 0% cputil, 504.00 MB memutil, load 0.13, 312 procs, uptime 0 day(s)
Node status: 290 ready, 0 unavailable, 113 down, 0 unknown

Looks like I'm over 11TF now and expect it to creep up now that I have my AC back to 100% operational and more servers working on WCG. Could break 13TF I think.

Re: ***Exclusive*** SNURK Sig '1T Club'

MrKermit, thank you very much for showing us these details. I appreciate it very much. It is very impressive to see what a huge amount of ressources you are able to donate to wcg.

Even so all others too.

Edit: You are leading SNURK list of globes and you are very close to be the first 50y globe owner in this list biggrin

Re: ***Exclusive*** SNURK Sig '1T Club'

Impressive is an understatement! It wasn't long ago we were celebrating as some of us joined the 1T club. Then we celebrated an elite few getting over the 2T mark, now we have several crunchers over the 2T mark and MrKermit taking crunching to a whole new level!

In the global runtime list MrK is second only to IBM! Now that's impressive! My hats off to you MrK!!

Congrats and Thanks to you for donating such huge resource to the effort on the grid applause applause applause

Re: ***Exclusive*** SNURK Sig '1T Club'

Oh my.. 4640 CPUs, 13 Tflops !!
How many GPUs would be needed to top this? 4 x HD7970 maybe ? :-DD

All the GPUs in the world can't top that, since there is no projects for them to work with at the moment.

shock Re: ***Exclusive*** SNURK Sig '1T Club'

The old theoretical peak vs delivered useable Flops comparison mismatch trick :) .

Since there aren't any projects that can run on GPU at the moment we cannot drag race them. Maybe a Xeon Phi? Has anyone launched BOINC on a Phi? I have some early ones I could maybe try on.

Our Current theoretical peak is ~
288 Servers * 8 Cores * 2.8 Ghz * 4 Flops Per cycle = 25.8TF peak
So 8 x HD7970 maybe? LOL

My monthly power bill is more than 8 GPU's cost including power - so I can't wait to see them become as useful for my primary customers. Of course, that doesn't mean they will want less, they'll just try to do more. That's why I love performance oriented computing (High Performance Computing) more than persistence oriented computing (Enterprise, Email, Web etc.)

Cheers!
MrKermit
