can't see stats for one of my devices

Hi guys,

I can only see the results for one of my devices.

Not sure if I set up the second machine incorrectly or registered it with the wrong name.

It is working away though I just cannot see the results

Any idea how to diagnose/fix this ?

Re: can't see stats for one of my devices

Can you confirm when you go to My Contribution and select Device Statistics you only see 1 Device listed?

Your stats only show Device Installations 1

Since you say the second machine is running go to BOINC Mgr on that machine and Ctrl+Shift+E to bring up the Event Log/ Copy & Paste the first 50 lines so we can see what's happening,

Re: can't see stats for one of my devices

Ctrl-Shift+E does nothing. Is there a way to access the event log by menu ?

running BOINC 6.10.58

Re: can't see stats for one of my devices

Try Ctrl+Shift+A to bring up Advanced view and then Ctrl-Shift+E

Once this problem is resolved you should consider upgrading BOINC to 7.2.47 - click Download in the top right hand corner.

Re: can't see stats for one of my devices

thanks all. The hint was in the Manager/Projects - which showed I had it registered as a different user on the same project.

Re: can't see stats for one of my devices

I believe since the project has changed it's site and display prefs, my statistics and device profiles are haywire to say the least. May I also ask for help. In some places, it shows results as of 4/5, Device Statistics are non-existent.

applause Re: can't see stats for one of my devices

the only change my vision sees here immediately is the user machine is now named Rainbow instead of MBPHvice or what I had chosen before MBPHVice, but the reporting stats appear the same. I'm just confused :) I'm getting to be an old fart

also how have y'all gotten all your badges? I've been crunching on all the projects since they've started and yet I've attained only 2 :(
I'm grateful for those, however! Grateful that my miniscule computing power could be useful (antique home built, see BAM stats) ....

This project has been amazing to watch it's metamorphosis. I got involved through SETI@home, of course. Thanks for your support and assistance. My apologies for not generally posting more frequently than when needing help.

Re: can't see stats for one of my devices

I'm no expert regarding the running of multiple BOINC projects, but these lines seem relevant:
World Community Grid | URL http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/; Computer ID 3025802; resource share 5
...
Suspending computation - CPU is busy
...
max CPUs used: 3
...
Could it be that you really haven't completed any WCG tasks since 4 May? I think the first line means that you won't often receive a WCG task, and the second line shows that you're often not processing any BOINC tasks anyway. Thirdly, why not use all 4 cores? To maximise WCG performance and badges, you'd have to run WCG exclusively and set the machine to run all cores even when it's busy (the BOINC processing priority is low so you don't notice any effects, unless your "antique" machine is quite slow).
The other thought is did you change your WCG username around 4 May?

Re: can't see stats for one of my devices

[OT]Smallville, get rid of BOINC@Fiit | URL http://boinc.fiit.stuba.sk/; asap - they are not even in pre-Alpha phase, no admins, no communication with project, no checkpoints. This means, when you turn your computer or BOINC off, their task (if you have any) will start from the beginning and you will lose all the work for this project[/OT]

Cheers peace
