"My question is why play with the numbers at all just grant the claimed points and be done."
The claimed numbers are not claimed rather some realtime averaging for each device by the serve on a number of parameters to include the device benchmarksr That's part of the substantially wrong. Latency and high variability in runtime the prime suspects, which essentially applies to all wcg projects. One of the objects was to make life hard for those that rig the claimed credit, yes there are. |

I have pages of errors from E224... and only 2 results Validated.
Do we have an estimate of when new units will be available? Is there any point in crunching CEP2, meanwhile? I could switch to MCM temporarily. Mike |

Hi Mike,
We have worked out what the issue was, and are just finalising the fix. E224... was the tail end of the old library, and so we might expect more errors than normal there. We will let you know when the new work units are out, but it shouldn't be long. Your Harvard CEP Team |

Good, I'm glad that this'll be 'sorted' soon - as I've just re-joined the project (I originally had decided to stop at my green badge - after all, it is for a green project), but decided that now I'm within 180 CPU days of my Sapphire MCM badge, that I'd push this up towards the Sapphire level as well.
----------------------------------------Thing is, in the very near future, my computer and I will be away from the Internet for just over a week - and thus, as MCM has a 7 day deadline (as opposed to 10 with CEP2), I'll be filling up my buffer totally with this science for that duration. |

Thanks, Harvard
Once you have returned to normality, I will return. Meanwhile, I have a cache of E224... and E225... which currently don't appear to be worth running. From what I have read earlier in this thread it would seem that we might as well abort our current caches of E225.... Please confirm that my assumption is correct and advise whether you prefer them to be aborted now or once the fix is operational? Is the same true for E224... or might they be validated after the fix? Mike |
