Re: New BETA test - Oct 6, 2014 [ Issues Thread ]

Hi.

Looks like there is still a problem with the graphics running on Ubuntu, I have 5 tasks on my AMD 1055T using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x64.

I had just remembered to check the graphics on 2 of the running tasks and it's the same as with M.C.M tasks, the graphics window frame flash's up for a second then is gone.

I hope this can be fixed for the release to the wild. biggrin

OK, now that the dust has settled, I can verify that power cycling the machine (and supposedly suspending with LAIM off) will cause the result to go invalid.

Two showed invalid, two showed too late presumably because they were waiting verification and would have gone invalid later.

All four of these on a machine I rebooted mid-workunit.

All the work units that had two copies still out in progress have been marked for server abort. This ended up being 471 work units.

Thanks,

Ehem *Cough* *Cough* I think you missed one.

BETA_betaugm1_ugm1_00011_0720 0.00% (I went to check a headless machine after I saw PMH_UK's post above and realised from the results page that I'd picked up a duff unit. I've just plugged in a monitor this morning and aborted it.

I seem to be seeing this from one of my wingmen. The log for BETA_ betaugm1_ ugm1_ 00006_ 0773_ 2-- shows a number of restarts, two of which seem to go backwards and a number of which are close together, suggesting perhaps a heartbeat problem. There may, of course, be a problem with the machine that caused a bad result, but it's starting to look like there may be a checkpoint issue that should be looked at.

Edit to add:

Seeing this also with BETA_ betaugm1_ ugm1_ 00027_ 0307_ 1-- . Again, multiple checkpoint restarts, including one that goes backwards.

Done, congrats alien 1

Good thing with this project is that it seems not very RAM-demanding, so even people with weaker devices (PC's only confused ) might be able to crunch it as an alternative to FAAH.

This one appears to have been missed, not started yet I think but PC has returned other units.

Oooooohh!!!

Someone at WCG let the cat out of the bag.

I went to "My Projects" and there is a new project "Uncovering Genome Mysteries" (=UGM?) available.

BTW, my Betas finished OK.
