AM I logged in? How do I log out?

So, I logged in to look at My Contribution and got the message that the statistics were being updated, but at the top of the page it says Log In. Huh?

Just to prove I was logged in I posted to another forum thread and now I'm writing this one. But at the top of the page it still says Log In. So how do I Log OUT?

Excuse the on-floor laughter, see the web design thread. Having the exact issue, showing as log in, when i am logged in. During nightly stats cant even go to the mc page to sign out, the hotel california experience.

Hi lavaflow. I completely understand the ROFL now I've looked at the other thread. Sorry, I missed that!

However, you say "To sign out i have to go to either settings or my contributions." I didn't try Settings, but the My Contributions page just had the stats running message and still said Log In at the top so I could find no way to log out.

I was always taught that it was dangerous (from a personal security point of view) to leave logged in sessions hanging, but I had no choice. However, it did seem that my session had been killed at some point before I came back to it just now, so I guess it could have been worse.

Nevertheless, given WCGs aim to provide a highly secure computing environment, this does not instil confidence!

At some point the cookie expires, so when then going to settings or mc or my profile, the password is being asked for again. Cookie expiration time, no idea, 3 hours maybe? Don't know if there is a 'keep me signed in' box to not have the session expire, then it is 'surf's up'.
