if we do have 150M results to crunch (even though we have seen some down-time in length of WUs & more WUs crunched)... Looking at Rob's OET crunch chart, it appears that the total num of results for OET is 170.25M. So far, we have crunched aprox 72.4M, therefore we still have about 97.85M to go.CJSL Crunching for a brighter future... cjsl or tech can you confirm that we have 170,25M of results till the End of project?!  |

KliK, I only use the information available in Rob's chart . The chart appears to be updated to Nov 28. It shows 93,452,894 results returned and the progress of the project is 72.7%. Applying a rule of three, 100% = 128,545,934. I assume that is the way to calculate it. I may be wrong.

the thing is:

the thing is: We do not give out the number of work units left on projects because it changes so frequently. We keep the progress bar on the Active Research page updated with the best estimate we have, and always try to give warnings when there is about 30 days of work left.- we had 80M results 1st - then we had about 100M - then 150M - then about 170M - now it seems that we have only 128M results I'm not pointing any fingers...we're all in this together! just quoted message with 170M results estimate...probably those came from some source?! can we just get to the bottom of this & find out how much M of results do we have till End of project?! so which is it?! scientists, techs...please join in! Thanks, ErikaT yeah Erika, we know that! but, you also gave us 6m warnings when projects is nearing it's end (May, 2016)! so you do have that information... & we here (in this topic), as well as 2 other topics (for UGM & MCM - latter by Sgt.Joe) keep track of a progress of the project in more details...for some of us it's: a) interesting to know such a things ('cause of the planing of our goals) b) might be a small fun for us, to keep us busy...help others on forum! c) give us a better view of our grid we connected to you so, to conclude, it's interesting to know such a data...I know it has go from A to B to C...but can you give us a total amount of results to the end of the project, in this moment...& if it changes, just post it here again... thanks! |

Update on ECD!
----------------------------------------Totals: Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) 15986:346:11:46:23 Points Generated 24,689,751,899 Results Returned 98,340,702 Giving us about 8M results in 31d...or almost 260k results per day! If May is the ECD, so that means we've about 47M results to make in about 180d (6m period)... or about 140-150M results as a TOTAL amount of results needed to ECD! asking SekeRob & cjslman to please confirm this number...& abandon the 170,25M results to the end of the current project! A slowdown from 10M to 8M results is clearly visible...but those will probably be compensated by a new additions to WCG after a Christmas purchases & upgrades!  EDIT: possible slow down might be possible 'cause of the next MCM research which will commence soon...so any difference in WU times will be reflected on all other projects! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by KLiK at Dec 17, 2015 2:43:20 PM] |

asking SekeRob & cjslman to please confirm this number... A couple of things:1) Sorry, but I can't confirm that number because I don't have access to any information (except for Rob's chart ) that would permit me to do that. 2) I really don't care what the "TOTAL" amount of results is. To me, it isn't important if its 170M or 150M results (it is what it is). What is important to me is the purpose of the project (help investigators find ways to treat people that get this terrible disease) and to be able to participate in this project.
