Re: Ebola Project Milestones & Records

as their % engine can also calculate ECD, it would be great if it's always turned ON...so we can't speculate anymore, but have a info...

& it's really not a problem if some projects slips few months back & forward...as weight of other projects is changed or number of machines changes on WCG or some projects arrives to a slower or faster WUs...
wink

EDIT:
so guys, we've found out that OET has increased number of batches, so it will be run longer...here's post:
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=511596
also, notice that "harder" batches come at the end of the project...so ECD will probably be false-sooner...but anyway, here's a new ECD:

a New system is developed on UGM monitoring of batches...so here it goes:

latest batch received is 1616 on 14nd Jan...

so in 13m time we all crunched about 1616 batches of 5463...
with this (slow) tempo we have about 1319d to completion or about 44m or 3.7y!?!

in making such a long ECD, all of us have to include Moore law into account...so that 3.7y comes down to almost 2y or 23m!

so ECD is prolonged to Dec 2017!
cool

Re: Ebola Project Milestones & Records

Thanks everyone. I missed that thread. I had been quite busy with extra end-of-year work, big anniversary, and my daughter's wedding. I haven't been doing the daily reading of forums for the past month. There's quite a bit of catching up to do. I wasn't sure if I had imagined that May 2016 estimate. All good to know. I've changed by settings accordingly.

Cheers coffee

Congratulations!

Also, this OET research projects is OK...no need to make another ECD before middle of the year or quarterly?!
it's UGM & MCM we have to chaise...to finish both of those on Sep 2016...to get some badges, if we chaise them...& to give back!

Re: Ebola Project Milestones & Records

Yes, they've been fast-forwarding the percent since a couple of weeks... 9% behind based on "last batch #" principle. https://bit.ly/WCGOET1 as of noon, but lots closer than before.

Re: Ebola Project Milestones & Records

That's because of the larger amount of short WUs (-FW).

Re: Ebola Project Milestones & Records

That chart would be better readable without the fancy background picture ;-)

Re: Ebola Project Milestones & Records

If you actually do ;-) the chart instead of me, it's not hard at all to make out what the light blue line [daily runtime per result average] does at the bottom of the main chart. And then there's for those who can't, the broken out center bottom mini area chart, also light blue which even more emphasis the present, with the 7 day spread, now 0.51 to - 1.29 hrs/result, that the last few weeks or so has seen short result run times.

If you need more help, don't hesitate to ask. kiss
