----------------------------------------Oh I see you finaly upgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 haha :) Good temps. My AMD A8-6500 3.5 Ghz is currently at 58ºC. Needs a bit cleaning. Power is around 85-90 watts for the whole PC. Phenoms are pretty great CPU's. Hope Zen will be a good sucessor to them. My laptop shows 8 cores but actually has 4. The difference is hyperthreading which makes it look like it has twice the number of cores. The actual throughput is about the same if I run 4 jobs or 8. The 8 jobs just run at half speed.
Individual jobs will run faster if you limit your machine to 4 jobs. |
