"Papers, presentations, a new website"... and of course a quick check to see if the project progress had a re-calibration and indeed, from 66 to 63%. Still waiting eagerly on those once promised superjobs, and a version of app that symlinks to the 6700 standard files rather than copying them across for each job launched. [BOINC developers also mentioned symlinking in regards the CMS/VM project of CERN that uses very large files > 4GB].

Still waiting eagerly on those once promised superjobs, and a version of app that symlinks to the 6700 standard files rather than copying them across for each job launched. I have a lot of memory waiting, and can get more if needed. Also more advanced instructions (SSE4? AVX/AVX2?) and even GPUs would be nice. Maybe they are not needed with the amount of work left, but an indication of that would be useful too. |
