Hello all,

The Clean Energy Project researchers have posted a project update on their busy summer - check it out!

Thanks,

Welcome though this update was, details on the actual science seemed a little sparse. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future update.

Ditto what you said.

I get the sinking feeling that the best candidate molecules have already been analyzed, and we are just doing clean-up work for some follow-on academic paper. They is nothing wrong with that, but we should be advised accordingly.

Re: The Clean Energy Project - project update, September 2015

Don't see how the kind of obligatory quarterly update always has actual interesting deeper news to tell, it can't and with 30,000 compounds already found, it's surely going into completing data sets and exploring 'maybe' avenues. So works science, long as motivation is up and funding is there [ah yes, that point]

[ot]At any rate, against better knowing, and whilst the MCM/UGM/CEP2 device is devoid of UGM, have set app_config to run 2 CEP2 concurrent on the subject device and increased profile to buffer 6 instead of 5, to make sure, the next to start is always oldest in the FIFO cycle of this 8 core. Had 5 years planned for this science to complete by February 2016, but if this happens before new-year that's fine too biggrin [/ot]

I don't know much about quantitative chemistry, but I do remember a line from one of the CEP Clean Scientist posts which alluded to a potential number of candidate molecules in the 10^60 range. Obviously way too high a number to be analyzed by anything available now or even in the near future. So, I do not think they have exhausted the possibilities, but have merely just begun to scratch the surface.

Cheers

From the update:
We will share the details of the manuscript once it gets published.

It's nice to know that the manuscript won't be paywalled. Thanks for the update and best of luck.

Hello, several comments in this set don't fit:

How can a result be too late after only one day?
What meand "detached"?
It is the first time I met several errors the same day on this project.
