Hello,
----------------------------------------I have recently got a new android device and when I connected it to WCG I have all the files download except this one. After finishing one task for OET I have not received anything for about 6 hours and the status just keeps says that there is 1 download pending even though the task itself was sent over with no issues. Has anyone had this problem? I tried to put this android device under a different setting (instead of Default to home or work that only had OET selected) however that did not help either. You're not alone in the .png downloading issue [comes from ABC cloud WCG maintains]. See fablefox thread... he's suffering same right now.

I am having the same problem - just tried to attach my Galaxy S Plus (GT-i9001) yesterday and at first it got stuck on "2 files to download". Then I made a Reset project in the app and I got some tasks which crunched and returned OK but I could not get any more tasks since once again it said "2 files to Download". Retry did not work. So once those tasks had all finished, I once again made a Reset of project in the app and got new tasks but not it says "5 files to Download". Very weird. But I guess I'll just have to keep resetting the project everytime I run out of tasks...

Yes, it is a real pain :(
----------------------------------------But, I somehow think I managed to get things to start moving again without having to reset. First Press the suspend/pause button at the top right in the app. Then go to preferences and deselect "Autostart", "Show notification for new notices" and "Show notification when suspended". This is so that the app actually exits when you back out of it. So now exit the app by pressing "Back" button on your phone until you are at your Android Home Screen. Now find the BOINC app icon and start BOINC by tapping it once. BOINC will now start up from a "shut down state" and for me that meant that stalled downloads started to actually download and stalled upload actually uploaded immediately. This did not fix the problem completely though as is still says that 1 Download is stalled. But I have never been down to just 1 before and it managed to both upload the finished task and download 5 new tasks. So, now one can go into preferences and tick back all those options that were unticked before. When new tasks are needed again the procedure can be repeated. So far does seem to be permanent solution. I have tried several times, but still the same pending download. Now instead of just one it is 5 and its for OET, even though I still get one work unit. I guess I will just leave it and see if it will be somehow fixed by WCG or if someone has a permanent solution. All othe android deviced that I had been running WCG for a while are working fine.

Hmmm...perhaps it was just a coincidence that it had some effect on my phone then. I shall try my "trick" again as soon as my WU buffer cache runs out in the app and then I will try to see if I can somehow repeat the procedure.

I seem to have run into another issue on my android device. I checked it this morning and it seems like there are running on all of the cores. But when I checked inside the APP it still says 0 so I don't see any tasks, but they are running.
----------------------------------------I do however still see those files trying to download still. Now its only 6 files that its trying to download. |
