Sounds like a mistranslation. Since there is no known medical cure for Ebola, there's nothing pushing it to mutate into something more resistant.

You nailed it Dayle... [was not going to say anything, just another 'click'] 2nd Gen has a different meaning, and if it were would not have such a designate... it's mutating anyhow. See http://science.sciencemag.org/content/348/6230/117

After reading the article, it should have been "latest outbreak" or "new outbreak" not "second generation". Second generation would mean a mutated version of the virus.

will see which version is this new Ebola outbreak...but we have several types of Ebola right now...only place where all of them are listed is:
